For a three-letter word that can help you move mountains on your journey to success, join us on this exploration of wisdom from one of the world’s most effective mindset coaches…

One of the simplest but biggest things Harv ever did to improve his own life dramatically was based on one creative problem-solving decision he made…

He refused to believe in the word “NO.”

If you know anything about Multimillionaire and Bestselling Author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, T. Harv Eker, you’ll know that he went from broke to millionaire in 2.5 years using the very strategies he teaches his students and exactly the things you’ll learn here right now.

If he had to believe every “NO” that people told him, he would never be where he is today.

”NO” closes doors - ones that often don’t need to be closed. -T. Harv Eker

One Magic Word that Clears the Hurdle of “NO”

So what exactly does Harv do instead of taking “NO” for an answer?

Well, when someone says “NO” to him, he asks “HOW?”...

And not arrogantly or rudely of course as his aim is solely to engage in creative problem-solving.

Harv says that he will thank them for their input and remark something like “I know you think this strategy won’t work, so how can we make this happen instead? What’s another way we can approach it?”

And for the record, this works equally well when you’re telling yourself “NO” too!

"HOW" is the magic word, and your life literally depends on it. -T. Harv Eker

This is the absolute best way Harv knows to get beyond whatever gets in the way of progress.

For example, Harv mentions that some time back he met an awesome cancer survivor who had visited multiple U.S. doctors who were all unable to cure him.

These doctors all told him that there was just “NO” way.

So what did this patient do instead of accepting the “NO” answer he kept receiving?

You guessed it…

Harv says that he asked “HOW?” and got his creative problem-solving juices flowing.

After conducting some research of his own, this patient discovered a treatment all the way in Germany and made a point of getting there.

The treatment worked!

Now, only time will tell how permanent this solution is, but the last time Harv talked to him, this man was cancer-free.

No doubt you can imagine how different the outcome would have been had he simply yielded to the opinions of the doctors who were treating him in the U.S.

“HOW” - instead of “NO” - is the magic word, and your life literally depends on it. -T. Harv Eker

practice & exercise

Exercise: How to Answer the “HOW”

The best way Harv knows to answer the “HOW” is something his friend Brian Tracy, a phenomenal trainer and speaker, taught him.

And here it is…

Harv says you’ve got to brainstorm, then write down 10 answers or solutions.

If you get more than 10, all the better.

Just remember the fundamental rule of brainstorming… absolutely NO censoring.

If a possible solution pops into your mind, you have to write it down!

When you are not sure about a solution, just brainstorm and write down 10 possible solutions. -T. Harv Eker

So… did you do the exercise?

So… did you do the exercise?

GREAT!

Give yourself a high five!

Did any of the solutions you wrote down sound like they have the potential to work?

If so, Harv sure hopes that you try them.

Otherwise, you’ll stay stuck in a world where “NO” dominates your life and that’s NO fun place to be, right?

BE the Creative Problem Solver

Here’s something Harv likes to say…

‘If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always got.’

So every time you come across a “NO”, Harv urges you to continue asking “HOW” and let your creative problem-solving skills do the work for you.

And in the event you think that you’re just not a creative person, Harv assures you that you’re wrong.

We are all creative, albeit in different ways in how we organize, how we communicate, how we research, and so on.

It is called creative problem solving for good reason because it’s something everyone can do even if each approach is unique, he adds.

Harv teaches his students exactly what you’re learning today…

And that is to not accept “NO” as an answer.

So from this moment onward, regardless of who tells you “NO”, whether it’s someone else or yourself, ask the question “HOW?” in response.

It must become your reflex -  let “NO” immediately trigger “HOW”.

Always be respectful and kind about it - Harv warns that being pushy or defensive won’t get you the results you desire.

If you keep doing what you’ve always done, you’ll keep getting what you’ve always got. -T. Harv Eker

Conclusion: Apply Your Own Brand of Creative Problem Solving

Now that you know the magic word, what “NO” answers are you going to start addressing first?

Surely there are many situations in your own life you can think of where “NO” limited you, whether it was someone else or yourself that told you “NO”.

Either way, the belief that something is ‘impossible’ or can’t happen stops you in many situations where it’s really not necessary.

"HOW" will you create the life you desire and deserve if you allow “NO” to stop you?

So don't let it!

If you would like to learn more strategies to becoming unstoppable so you can create your ultimate life and succeed no matter what, starting your journey to self-mastery by learning how to build self-confidence is a great step in the right direction.
